In this discussion, David goes deeply into the ideas of mind and speaks on the concept of pain and pleasure, the two thought systems, judgment and ordering of thoughts, and the seeming death and resurrection of Jesus.

“Everyone in this world seems to have his own special problems. Yet they are all the same. They must be recognized as one, if the one solution that solves them all is to be accepted. Who can see that a problem has been solved if he thinks the problem is something else? Even if he is given the answer he cannot see its relevance. That is the position where you find yourself now. You have the answer, but you are still uncertain about what it is. A long series of different problems seem to confront you. As one is settled, then the next one will arise. There seems to be no end to them. There is no time when you feel completely free from your problems and at peace. 

Whether we talk about personal issues or problems, or there are feelings of hatred towards someone else, or a medical issue—also collective issues—we’re now going to bring it back to the mind. We are going to redefine the problem. What is the mind? How is the mind different from the world? The mind is not contained in the world. The mind is not the brain. The mind is the activating agent of Spirit. It is very powerful. It is the place where the decision mechanism is. It is abstract. It is so different from anything in this world because it is not limited.”
